Experience the refined and close-knit urban culture of the Croatian capital Zagreb. Explore Split, the country home of a Roman emperor, and the aquamarine streams and waterfalls of Plitvice Lakes National Park as well as the charming art-loving city of Ljubljana.

Day 1: Arrival Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport - Ljubljana city

The journey starts with arrival at Ljubljana Airport followed by leisure time in the city for the rest of the afternoon.

Day 2: Ljubljana, Bled (Meals: B)

Start the day with a walking tour around modern Ljubljana with its pleasant atmosphere and big city feel. Visit the old part of town along the Ljubljana River and head to the town of Bled in the afternoon with its glacier-formed Alpine lake and the oldest castle in Slovenia. Take a traditional boat 'Pletna' to Bled Island and enjoy the view of the Julian Alps.

Day 3: Bohinj, Vogel, Vintgar (Meals: B)

After breakfast head over to the mountain village of Bohinj, home of the largest natural glacial lake in Slovenia, Lake Bohinj. Ascend to Vogel in the south-eastern part of the Julian Alps via gondola. Then climb to see the beautiful waterfall Savica in the heart of Triglav National Park. Return to Bled in the late afternoon.

Day 4: Postojna Cave, Predjama, Piran (Meals: B)

Depart to Postojna and visit Postojna cave with its network of 23 kilometers of tunnels, galleries, and halls. Followed by a short stop to admire 700-year-old Predjama Castle. Then on to Piran on the Slovenian coast with its medieval narrow streets, countless markets, and beautiful churches.

Day 5: Porec, Rovinj, Opatija (Meals: B)

Stroll through the old part of the city of Poreč in Istria with its narrow labyrinthine streets and visit the Euphrasian Basilica, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Then on to the town of Rovinj. Arrive in the peaceful town of Opatija in the late afternoon known to have been a summer and winter resort of Austro-Hungarian aristocracy.

Day 6: Plitvice Lakes National Park (Meals: B)

The day starts early with a visit to the spectacular 16 blue and green travertine lakes of Plitvice Lakes National Park with more than 90 waterfalls and rapids surrounded by beautiful woods. A Unesco Cultural Heritage site since 1979.

Day 7: Zadar, Split, Hvar (Meals: B)

Departure to the city of Zadar in northern Dalmatia. Walk through the old town and visit the symbol of the city, the Cathedral of St. Anastasia before moving on to the amazing city of Split to experience Diocletian's Palace, the Cathedral of St. Dujewhich, Jupiter's temple, and enjoy a walk through the Riva promenade. Take a ferry in the afternoon to Hvar with its vibrant nightlife.

Day 8: Hvar (Meals: B)

Explore sunny Hvar island known for its cultivation of lavender and winemaking. Discover the town center and St. Stephen's square which opens up to the sea, and enjoy Hvar beach with clear waters and pine forest surroundings.

Day 9: Zagreb (Meal: B)

Departure to Zagreb, the city of parks, palaces, and museums. See the beautiful cathedral and the lively Dolac market as well as the church of Saint Mark, the square of Ban Jelancic, and indulge in the breathtaking view of the city from under the Lotrscak tower.

Day 10: Departure (Meals: B)

Drop off at Zagreb airport after breakfast.
